Flower Mound, Texas (Kim & Larry)

I raced to Kim & Larry's house on Friday, leaving the Llano Crawfish Festival a day early to avoid the eventual storm over much of Texas.  And I'm glad that I did as Saturday morning brought thunder and lightening with heave rains.  So we got to spend the weekend together and  celebrate Larry's 68th birthday on Saturday with Kim's sister Nina and her husband Herb and their friends.  

We visited the 407 BBQ & Gun Club for some really good BBQ.  I had a wet brisket sandwich.

They have a beautiful home in Flower Mound which seems like a very exclusive area of the suburbs of Dallas.  The streets are nice and smooth and there is NO litter anywhere.  Texas is clearly doing something right as the roads and streets are well maintained and clean, everywhere I rode for 10 days.  Well the roads in the city of Austin were not so good, but everywhere else and wildflowers everywhere along the side of the road with pastures and rolling hills.  Very nice.

Larry turned 68 and we celebrated his birthday at a Mexican restaurant and had cake at home.
