Bunches of Videos 1

 May 4, 2024

Folks, I am finding that keeping up to date with videos, meaning downloading them to my tablet, editing them, and then uploading them to Youtube (which is the only way that I can embed them here), and then posting them  here in this blog continues to be a challenge.  That challenge is based on the time downloading to the tablet takes, and actually more time consuming is uploading to Youtube, as that requires fast upload speeds which only one place that I've been to since I started my trip has had.

So the result is that I am going to post various videos that were taken many days ago and so will be out of sequence from the actual riding miles that I've accomplished.  I'll try to add as much conext as I can.  Thanks for your patience.

This is the Chihuahuan countryside.  Memo Ayala invited me to ride with him and his friends to an "outpost" in the countryside where bikers congregated to chill for a bit.  I met a few Mexican bikers there and tried to explain to them about my charity ride.
Hopefully this video shows what it is like riding in the countryside in Texas, beautiful rolling hills, pastures, and wildflowers by the side of the road, and smooth as butter roads with no litter!

Jacob's Well is in Wimberly, Texas.  Just an accelerated in and out hike to the "well."
Visiting Jacob's Well in Wimberley, Texas was an unforgettable experience, immersing me in the pristine beauty of the Hill Country. The clear waters and tranquil surroundings made it the perfect spot for a refreshing escape from the Texas heat.

One of the sites inn Austin that locals brag about, Pennydecker Bridge!
This is also a site in Wimberly, Texas, the Blue Hole.
Wimberley, Texas boasts the mesmerizing natural wonder of the Blue Hole, a serene swimming spot surrounded by lush foliage and limestone cliffs. Visitors can bask in the tranquil ambiance, taking a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters or simply unwind amid the picturesque Hill Country scenery.

Fast forward to Galveston, Texas

Nestled along the Gulf Coast, Galveston, Texas beckons with its historic charm and vibrant seaside atmosphere. As a tourist, exploring the quaint streets lined with colorful Victorian houses on stilts offers a glimpse into the city's rich architectural heritage. From strolling along the bustling Strand Historic District to soaking up the sun on its sandy beaches, Galveston promises an enchanting blend of history, culture, and coastal allure.

Taking the ferry from Galveston to Bolivar Peninsula was a scenic journey across the shimmering waters of the Gulf Coast. The panoramic views of the coastline and the refreshing sea breeze made it a delightful way to explore the coastal charm of the region.
