May 28, 2024 Central Valley, New York 8,600 miles from home. I got the bike back from the Yamaha mechanic late morning, almost $2,700, not sure that it was legit, but it was what it was, when I thought that it would be COB today. So I was planning to ride tomorrow. But with that extra time and feeling restless looking at the weather at my sister's house and looking at facing a week or more of rain, I thought, well let's just get into it. I don't want to ride in the rain, but we're not talking about a day or two, we're talking about 7 or 8 days of rain here in New York. So either I get stinky at Michael Tallon's house for a week, or I forge on. So we'll see what we see. I met a cool couple from Ireland in the Better Place Bar & Grill in Central Valley, New York. They were here visiting one of their sons. After responding to why I was in the bar and if I was a local, I explained why was wandering around the US. They donated!!! People are people

May 22, 2024 We left early, 5:53AM, from Mount Airy, North Carolina as chance of rain here in Winchester, Virginia reaches over 50% by 4:00PM. We got caught in the rain twice together and I am piloting us to avoid as much rain as possible. Despite that, it looks like our last 2 days together on the bike, we'll definitely be riding most of the day in the rain.

May 10, 2024 Miami Springs, Florida Folks, I have been "resting" here in Miami Springs for the last 3 days. I've got a bit of carpal tunnel pain in my right wirst, so I have been resting it, icing, and anti-inflamatories.

May 4, 2024 Folks, I am finding that keeping up to date with videos, meaning downloading them to my tablet, editing them, and then uploading them to Youtube (which is the only way that I can embed them here), and then posting them here in this blog continues to be a challenge. That challenge is based on the time downloading to the tablet takes, and actually more time consuming is uploading to Youtube, as that requires fast upload speeds which only one place that I've been to since I started my trip has had. So the result is that I am going to post various videos that were taken many days ago and so will be out of sequence from the actual riding miles that I've accomplished. I'll try to add as much conext as I can. Thanks for your patience.
